On October 12, Zhu Guangxia, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC Group) and Metallurgical Corporation of China (China MCC), visited the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) for a working meeting with Vice President Xia Nong. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on further deepening their cooperation.
Zhu Guangxia emphasized that China MCC is a pioneer and a leading force in China’s steel industry, with a longstanding commitment to metallurgical construction, mineral resources, and metallurgical equipment manufacturing. The company has developed a business structure known as “One Core, Two Subjects, Five Characteristics”. China MCC places great importance on its collaboration with CISA and will continue to focus on its core responsibilities, aiming to drive further transformation and upgrading of the steel industry. He expressed confidence that China MCC will leverage its comprehensive industry expertise to work closely with CISA in contributing to the high-quality development of China's steel industry.
Xia Nong welcomed Zhu Guangxia and his delegation, expressing gratitude for China MCC’s long-standing support of CISA. He highlighted the current challenges facing the steel industry, such as slow demand recovery and rapid supply rebound. CISA is willing to collaborate extensively with China MCC on promoting steel structure construction, international expansion, industrial chain demand coordination, and the development of standards and regulations. CISA remains committed to providing comprehensive support and services to its member enterprises, including China MCC.
Su Changyong, Deputy Secretary-General of CISA, and other relevant personnel, along with s Zheng Li and leaders from China MCC's departments and subsidiaries, also attended the meeting.
